I ran across this picture of the deer cake while going through some discs the other day. This is one I will never forget because it was red velvet cake inside. I love making cakes for people and usually just do them as they request, but I think I am going to have to put my foot down and not make red velvet cakes for animal and/or people cakes. Just a little too strange for me. Sorta like the bleedin' armadilla groom's cake from Steel Magnolias.
I did this cake yesterday for an 18th Birthday. It was the first time I had been asked for a Camoflauge cake. The first try the kids said it didn't look very camoflauge. I guess this really doesn't either, but you get the idea. I think it turned out REALLY cool!
